Information
Scalextric has been the leading manufacturer of 1:32 scale slot car sets for more than 40 years. A large range of track, cars and accessories are available. Scalextric Classic track system is compatible with SCX track.
Scalextric Sport was introduced 2 years ago. The track connects together faster and easier, the track is flatter, and the power rails are level with the track to allow for the latest low ground clearance cars. On large layouts power bridge leads can be connected to corners and straights.
Scalextric Sport Digital was introduced 12 months ago. It allows up to 6 drivers and cars on a 2 lane track. The track has overtaking corners. The controllers have an extra button for changing lanes. A Conversion kit can be used on existing Scalextric Classic, Scalextric Sport and SCX tracks to convert them to Digital. Microprocessors are available to convert existing cars to Digital. New track sections to be released will allow pit sections, overtaking 3 lane curves and realistic type F1 chicanes. See the latest 2005 Scalextric catalogue for details. SCXSCX manufactures 1/32 scale slot car sets, cars, track and accessories. SCX cars will run on Scalextric track. We stock SCX cars, some specialised track and bridges, buildings and trackside figures. Aurora AFXAFX slot car sets are 1/87 HO scale, therefore require less space than 1/32 scale slot car sets. Cars available include turbo cars, lighted cars and Super G+ cars. There are 30 different types of track and accessories that allow up to 10 lanes of high performance racing. |
